May each year is a very busy and exciting time for all parents of children and applicants for schooling in Spain and Torrevieja. May sees the opening of applications for nursery schools for the youngest children, applications for primary schools, transition to secondary, bachillerato and vocational training for teenagers and young adults. And finally, preparation for university entrance exams for those who have decided to continue their career with higher education.

In this article, we will tell you in order the periods and places to apply for studies in 2025..
The system ADMINOVAhttps://portal.edu.gva.es/adminova/es/inicio/has been created for nursery, primary and secondary school pupils, as well as for vocational training, where applications can be submitted electronically during the timetable indicated..
This year, the deadline for applications for Infant and Primary Education was set for 6 to 14 May inclusive. At the beginning of June, parents await answers on acceptance or placement on a waiting list..
Applications for secondary school (ESO) and baccalaureate are accepted from 15 to 23 May inclusive. Applications for admission to a vocational training institution are accepted from 25 May to 2 June. Responses and admission lists are expected throughout the month of July..

All applicants must have the DNI, NIE, EU citizen's permit or passport of the person making the application (parent or legal guardian).
An application form must be filled in electronically with all the details of the pupil and, if applicable, all the details of the applicant (mother, father, guardian, etc.). The application specifies the desired educational institutions in descending order of preference ( i.e. the first is the most desired, the second, the least, etc.).
An important point for low-income families whose children have completed secondary school and high school and wish to continue their education at a high school, a vocational training institution or a university. The student can apply for a scholarship indicating all the details of his or her financial situation: family income, distance from the educational institution, separate residence, etc..

It is a separate story for students who want to take the university entrance exam (PAU). After the end of the academic year and a week of make-ups, the training centres register the participants for the PAU during the period from 19 to 23 May..
Each student, after registering for the PAU exams, receives the PAU Keys with which he/she must register in PASEU - the student portal to access the official bachelor's degree exams in the public universities of the Community: https://appweb1.edu.gva.es/paseu/login.sec
This year, the exams for the Convocatoria Ordinaria de la PAU will take place from 3 to 6 June and the Convocatoria Extraordinaria from 1 to 4 July..
All applicants to Spain will take the exams at the same time..
