The Colegio La Purísima de Torrevieja, was created on September 1st 1901, to respond to the needs of its time: Education of Children and Youth, it offered the teaching of: Nursery, Primary and Elementary Baccalaureate.
The school was located in the centre of Torrevieja, calle Vicente Blasco Ibáñez, nº 23. Given the request of the parents so that their children could continue their education at all educational levels, it was necessary to move the school to another place where there was sufficient space for the construction of classrooms, playgrounds and sports areas, adapting to the current regulations.
This move was carried out in September of nineteen ninety-seven.
Since then, the Centre has been located in calle Alborán, s/n, in the north-east area of Torrevieja.
