The Elena Ruso Academy is celebrating its 40th anniversary with a major festival that brings together on stage all the disciplines that have shaped its artistic journey.
The programme is divided into two parts. The first begins with urban dance, including a vibrant performance of Shakira and Jennifer Lopez’s 2020 Super Bowl routine, and continues with “El Ballet de la Vida”, an original creation for this anniversary that blends classical, neoclassical and contemporary dance into a theatrical metaphor for life at a cellular level.
The second part gives way to a flamenco-Arabic dance with the staging of “Salomé”, a ballet inspired by the work of Carlos Saura and set to music by Roque Baños, which combines power, elegance and drama.
A choral performance featuring 150 students, ranging from four-year-olds to adults, showcasing the talent, progress and passion that have defined the academy over the past four decades.
