Torrevieja joins this year, for the first time, the route of The Champions Burger, the biggest gastronomic festival in the country. The festival continues to break records and plans to visit more than 50 cities in this edition due to the success it is receiving from the public this summer..

"THE CHAMPIONS BURGER" WILL BE IN TORREVIEJA FOR 19 DAYS

From 20 August to 7 September, Torrevieja will be filled with the aroma of the embers with the arrival of around 20 food trucks that will light up their griddles to compete for the title of "Best Burger in Spain". Antonio Soria Park will be the meeting point for lovers of gourmet hamburgers, in an edition with great novelties. Among them, the luminous portico with neon lights, inspired by the mythical American highways, will be lit up on the opening day to give way to a space where gastronomy and good atmosphere merge. The level of the competition has been increasing after passing through 20 cities, and Torrevieja joins in at an outstanding moment. The proposals are unique, developed exclusively for this event, which has raised both the quality and the demands of chefs and the attending public. Visitors will be able to taste burgers that are a fusion of tradition and innovation, with meats of certified origin, artisan breads and surprising combinations. There will also be more groundbreaking recipes that expand the proposal and reinforce the creative identity of the festival.

The venue will host a space reserved for the restaurants of the main creators of gastronomic content: Moflete, by the well-known youtuber Joe Burger, and The Ox, by the influencer Pablo Cabezali. Gottan Grill, current champion of Spain and Europe, will also be present. Although their proposals cannot be voted for, their participation is already one of the great attractions of this edition.

THE PUBLIC OF TORREVIEJA WILL DECIDE WHICH IS THE BEST HAMBURGER IN SPAIN

At The Champions Burger, the public takes centre stage. The voting system is very simple: after tasting each burger, visitors scan the QR code on the receipt and rate the bread, meat, ingredients, presentation and originality. Among the participants at this stop are: Street Food Burger, Muralla, Dak Burger, The Vicbros Burger, Godeo, Nola Smoke, Rico, El Tarantín Chiflado, Tokio, Vacarnal, K-chopo, Circo, Jisma, Gula and Madison.

To complete the gastronomic experience there will also be food trucks from Cheeck's (fried chicken) and Ybarra (chips), as well as two sweet options: Ioan (artisan doughnuts) and Seixis (cheesecakes).
