The second concert in the chamber music series offers a fascinating journey through the lyricism, virtuosity and emotion of the great 19th- and 20th-century repertoire for violin and piano. Featuring pianist Pilar Valero and virtuoso violinist Antonio García Egea, this recital brings together three key figures from the European musical scene whose compositions are characterised by their profound poetic depth and technical brilliance: Fritz Kreisler, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and César Franck.
The evening will offer a skilful balance between the elegance and melodic charm of Kreisler’s miniatures, the passionate expressiveness of Tchaikovsky and the grandeur of Franck’s famous Sonata in A major, one of the finest works of chamber music of all time. An unmissable concert in which to enjoy the rapport and dialogue at the very highest level between two of the finest instruments.
