Johan de Meij returns to Torrevieja 17 years after helping the band win its historic silver medal at Kerkrade in 2009, this time as a guest conductor.
Under the baton of the Dutch conductor, we will hear Los libros olvidados (The Forgotten Books), one of his latest works, inspired by The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafón.
We will also be treated to the world premiere of Canticles, a concerto for tuba and wind band, featuring Samuel Hernández Imbernón from Torrevieja as the soloist.
