Comment
La Manga or La Manga del Mar Menor is a spit of sand in the province of Murcia. It is 22 km long and varies in width from 100 to 1200 m; it separates the Mar Menor, Europe's largest lagoon, from the Mediterranean Sea. The narrow strip separating the warm lagoon from the cooler sea has a unique microclimate. The sandy tongue is home to numerous beaches, both in the Mediterranean Sea and in the Mar Menor.
