8 detained and 96 identified during police operation in Almoradí and Callosa de Segura

Joint operation detected immigration law violations and one suspect wanted under a European Arrest Warrant

On 16 February, a joint police operation was carried out in Almoradí and Callosa de Segura involving the Guardia Civil, Policía Nacional, Policía Adscrita of the Generalitat Valenciana and local police forces.

During the operation, five public establishments were inspected.

According to official data:

— 96 individuals were identified,— 8 individuals were detained for violations of immigration law (Ley de Extranjería),— 1 individual was arrested under a European Arrest Warrant related to drug trafficking,— 3 administrative reports were issued for detected infractions.

The operation was coordinated between several law enforcement bodies in Alicante province. Authorities have not released further details regarding the detainees.
