A minor's knife fight: a disturbing incident in Torrevieja

A serious incident occurred in Torrevieja on November 19, 2025: a 16-year-old boy was taken to hospital after being stabbed by a classmate.

The attacker, also a minor, was arrested by the Guardia Civil at approximately 2:00 PM that same day. Both teenagers are students at IES Las Lagunas in Torrevieja. The Guardia Civil Institute of Criminal Investigation states that there is no evidence that the incident is related to school bullying or gang activity and is being treated as an isolated incident.

The victim underwent emergency surgery: the knife was lodged in his chest, requiring surgery at a Torrevieja hospital.

According to preliminary reports, the attacker is already in custody and will be referred to the Juvenile Fiscal Office.
