Just days before Christmas, a time filled with excitement, hope, and joy in every home—and especially for children—Agrícola Villena has successfully completed one of its most heartwarming charitable initiatives of the year.
Today, the company delivered the toys collected thanks to the generosity of its employees to the Villena Red Cross. These employees wanted to do their part to ensure that no child in the town goes without a toy this holiday season.
The campaign, launched by the company as part of its commitment to social causes, received an extraordinary response from the staff, who donated a wide variety of new toys: educational games, scooters, balls, children's board games, books, dolls, sports equipment, and much more. All of these toys are intended to bring joy to the homes of many families who, due to various circumstances, cannot afford these kinds of Christmas gifts.
The donation was presented by representatives of the Villena Red Cross: Clara Eugenia Campos Rigal, President; Luis Fuster Casado, Local Technical Director; and Juan Cabanes Conejero and Jose Tomás Domene, members of the Committee.
They all expressed their sincere gratitude to Agrícola Villena and its employees for their tremendous solidarity. They emphasized that, thanks to initiatives like this, this Christmas will be more special for dozens of children in Villena, while also noting that, unfortunately, many children still cannot access the toys they want and dream of.
Representing Somos Hijolusa at the donation ceremony were the group's Presidents, José L. Gómez and Carlos Gómez; the Operations Director, David García Córdoba; the HR and Legal Director, Nerea Berrizbeitia Llamas; and the Public Relations Director and Sustainability, Beatriz Álvarez Caurel, Tatiana Rodríguez Colmenero, June Fernández de Monje, and Nieves Gómez Miguelez, from the HR and Sustainability Department; David Céspedes Navarro, Financial Director of Agrícola Villena; Martín Cabanes Hernández, HR Director; and Virginia Martínez Felipe, Occupational Health and Safety Technician.
They all highlighted the human value of the Agrícola Villena workforce, which has once again demonstrated its strong commitment to the social initiatives promoted by the company.
Agrícola Villena wishes to convey a message of deep gratitude to all the employees who participated in this campaign: “Thank you for your generosity, your involvement, and for demonstrating, once again, that we are one big family united by values. This solidarity is what allows us, each year, to contribute our small part to improve the lives of those who need it most. Thank you for making it possible for so many children to experience a Christmas full of joy.”
