Torrevieja The Torrevieja City Council has started improvement works in the Reina de la Sal park, located in the Los Balcones area. The project includes the renovation of green areas and public spaces.

Alicante Strong sea conditions have been recorded along the Alicante province coastline, with waves reaching 4–5 metres. The most affected areas include Albufereta, Playa de San Juan and El Postiguet.

Alicante Municipalities and regional authorities in the Valencian Community have cancelled public events following the declaration of national mourning after the railway disaster in Adamuz.

Orihuela The Orihuela City Council has initiated legal proceedings to recover the historic document Libro de Repartimientos (1310), currently held by the Library of Catalonia.

Benejúzar The municipality of Benejúzar has implemented a video surveillance system at access points and key locations to improve traffic monitoring and public safety.

Dolores The Dolores City Council has presented the official poster for the FEGADO 2026 gastronomic festival, scheduled to take place from 30 July to 3 August 2026.

Vega Baja The agricultural organisation ASAJA Alicante has postponed a planned tractor protest from 22 to 29 January. The demonstration will take place in Elche and Alicante.
