Alicante. The new judicial complex, the "City of Justice Rafael Altamira," located opposite the Benalúa Palace of Justice, is entering a decisive phase: key moments of façade installation and interior design are underway. The estimated investment is €78 million, making it the second most expensive project promoted by the Generalitat in Alicante, after the Central Tram Station.
Work, led by a joint venture between Ferrovial and Servicios Servitria, began in 2023 and is expected to be completed in late 2026 or early 2027.
The 47,000-square-meter building will house the judicial bodies, which are currently widely dispersed: the civil and criminal jurisdictions, the Public Prosecutor's Office, the Mediation Service, and the Institute of Forensic Medicine.
