In the week leading up to Easter, Spain becomes one of Europe’s largest spaces of collective participation.

Thousands of processions take place across the country. Tens of thousands of brotherhoods are involved. Hundreds of thousands take part directly. Millions witness and share the experience.

Cities like Seville, Málaga, Valladolid and Murcia shape the rhythm.

But in Alicante and Torrevieja —on a scale that matches their size— the same depth of human involvement is felt.

Because this is not about numbers. It is about presence.

Easter is also one of the peak travel periods in Spain.

Millions of domestic trips. Millions of international visitors throughout the month. Full streets, vibrant cities, constant movement.
