The Guardia Civil has dismantled an organised criminal gang operating in south-eastern Spain, resulting in the arrest of 13 suspects aged between 16 and 45.
Investigators state that the group was based in San Javier, in the Murcia region, and is linked to 25 criminal offences: 15 thefts, 8 burglaries with forced entry, one violent robbery, and one vehicle theft.
The gang targeted homes and businesses across several municipalities, from San Pedro del Pinatar and San Javier to Orihuela, in the province of Alicante. According to police, the suspects gained access through unlocked doors or windows while properties were unoccupied.
Search operations led to the seizure of electronic devices, jewellery and a laptop, now held as evidence. All 13 suspects remain in custody as the investigation continues.
