The Torrevieja City Council's Departments of Public Health and Social Welfare will promote a healthy walking program throughout the municipality called Camina Torrevieja. The program aims to promote healthy lifestyle habits, encourage regular physical activity, and foster social relationships in a relaxed environment accessible to all levels.
This activity is especially aimed at people over 18 years of age who use healthcare and social services. The walks will be guided by technical staff who will accompany the group, offering guidelines on health, hydration, mobility, and injury prevention.
Participation in Camina Torrevieja is completely free, although prior registration is required using the QR code on the poster or by calling the Departments of Public Health or Social Services (tel. 607821039, 607314009). The program will be held on May 28, June 18, September 24, and October 22, 2025, from 8:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. The meeting point will be at the entrance of the Department of Social Welfare, located at C/Torrevejenses Ausentes, 39. The first walk will take place along Paseo Vista Alegre.
The program will be carried out in collaboration with the municipality's health centers, which will be able to refer patients they consider may benefit from the activity, as well as through the Social Welfare professional, if applicable, or the SASEM service.
