Local Police increase parking enforcement in central Torrevieja

Local Police in Torrevieja have increased parking enforcement in the city centre and along the waterfront areas. The move follows numerous complaints from residents and business owners about chaotic parking and vehicles occupying spaces for long periods in busy areas.

According to municipal sources, the main goal is to improve the turnover of parking spaces in commercial districts and make it easier for visitors to access shops, restaurants and services.

Torrevieja operates a regulated parking system in several central streets, limiting the amount of time vehicles may remain parked. Violations are monitored by Local Police patrols and mobile enforcement systems.

Parking checks are most frequently carried out in central and coastal areas including Calle Ramón Gallud, Calle Caballero de Rodas, Paseo Vistalegre, Paseo de la Libertad, Calle María Parodi, Avenida Diego Ramírez Pastor, Avenida Habaneras and the Marina Salinas port area.

Authorities remind drivers that parking in prohibited areas, pedestrian crossings, disabled spaces or loading zones may result in fines and in some cases the removal of the vehicle.

Drivers are urged to respect traffic regulations, particularly in areas with heavy tourist activity.
