New bus route to Alicante Airport starts on 1 February

From 1 February 2026, a new regular bus service will begin operating, linking several municipalities in the Vega Baja del Segura region with Alicante–Elche Miguel Hernández Airport.
The route serves the towns of:Almoradí, Formentera del Segura, Rojales, Guardamar del Segura and La Marina (San Fulgencio), with the airport as the final destination.
According to regional transport authorities, the new route aims to improve direct access to the airport, offer an alternative to private vehicles and taxis, and enhance mobility for residents of the area.
The service will operate daily, with multiple departures throughout the day coordinated with the main flight schedules. The project forms part of the expansion of interurban public transport services in the province of Alicante.
