Law enforcement agencies continue to intensify crime-fighting operations in Torrevieja and other municipalities across the Vega Baja del Segura region. In recent days, several actions have focused on tackling drug trafficking and violent crime.
In Torrevieja, officers dismantled an active drug dealing point. As a result of the operation, three men were arrested and face charges related to the possession and distribution of illegal substances. The case has been referred to the courts and the investigation remains ongoing.
At the same time, additional police operations are being carried out in other parts of Vega Baja to strengthen public safety. According to official sources, these actions have included:
arrests linked to violent offences;
seizures of significant quantities of marijuana;
preventive patrols and control measures aimed at deterring criminal activity and increasing police presence.
Authorities emphasise that these measures are part of a long-term strategy to combat crime, intended to enhance safety for both residents and visitors in the region.
