The feast day of the Holy Guardian Angels, patrons of the Local Police

Tomorrow, Thursday 2 October, Torrevieja will celebrate the feast day of the Holy Guardian Angels, patrons of the Local Police Force.
At 6:30 p.m., a mass will be held at the Parish Church of the Immaculate Conception. The mayor of Torrevieja, Eduardo Dolón, the Councillor for Security and Emergencies, Federico Alarcón, and numerous officials, officers and commanders from the Local Police will be in attendance.
During the ceremony, a prayer will be said for the deceased, and a laurel wreath will be placed at the feet of the image of the Guardian Angel, while the march "Death is not the end" is played. The celebration will end with the performance of the anthem of the Torrevieja Local Police.
Next, at 8:00 p.m., in the Torrevieja International Auditorium there will be an awards ceremony to recognise the achievements and merits of members of the Local Police. Around 200 officers will receive awards and commendations for various reasons at this official ceremony.
It should be noted that this year the Gold Shield will be awarded to the Local Civil Protection Association of Torrevieja, which maintains an excellent relationship with the Local Police Force.
To conclude the ceremony, officers who have completed 20, 25 and 35 years of service with the Torrevieja local police force will be recognised, as well as officers who have retired over the past year.
