The Real Club Náutico Torrevieja youth team continues to strengthen the city's position in Spanish sailing. At the 2025 Excellence Cup Vigo regatta, the Optimist section members won gold and bronze medals, confirming the club's high level of preparation. The success of these young sailors cements Torrevieja's reputation as a significant center for the development of children's and youth sports on the coast.

Meanwhile, the region's sports community is closely monitoring the progress of Ander Martín, a Torrevieja athlete recognized as a promising leader in the beach sprint discipline. His results distinguish him among Spanish athletes and make him one of the country's potential hopes for the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles. He continues his training and demonstrates steady progress, strengthening his position in the national rankings.

Positive news has also been forthcoming in the football world. SC Torrevieja won 2-1 in their away match against Olímpic Xàtiva. These three points allowed the club to enter the playoffs, maintaining a realistic chance of advancing in the championship. The victory boosted the team's confidence and strengthened its tournament prospects.

These achievements—from youth sailing to football success and individual progress in Olympic disciplines—reflect the dynamic development of sport in Torrevieja and Vega Baja, highlighting the region's growing role on the national sporting map.
