The Torrevieja City Council has officially announced the postponement of the traditional Three Kings Parade, initially scheduled for Sunday, January 5, due to adverse weather forecasts.
According to the council, the parade of Their Majesties the Three Kings will now take place on Tuesday, January 6, at 5:00 p.m. The route remains unchanged and will follow these streets: Paseo Vista Alegre (start), Calle Clemente Gosálvez, Calle Ramón Gallud, Calle Zoa, and Calle Caballero de Rodas, ending in Plaza de la Constitución, next to the Church of the Immaculate Conception.
The City Council emphasizes that the decision was made prioritizing safety and risk prevention, especially considering the high number of children and families who participate in this event. The aim is to avoid unnecessary travel and ensure that the parade can be enjoyed under the best possible conditions. Throughout the day, municipal officials held coordination meetings with law enforcement, emergency services, and members of the organizing committee, jointly analyzing the weather situation and working together to ensure the event's smooth running.
The city council acknowledges that this was a difficult decision, but insists that it is a responsible and preventative measure, adopted with the well-being of residents and visitors in mind. The council also expressed its gratitude for the public's understanding and cooperation.
The Three Kings Parade is one of the most anticipated events of the Christmas season in Torrevieja, and despite the date change, the city council is confident that the parade on January 6th will be a magical and memorable afternoon for all attendees.
