Torrevieja is preparing to create a new green space in Sector 25, which will be one of the largest parks in the city. Construction will begin on November 11, 2025, and will cover 70,000 square meters with a total budget of €5.4 million. This 12-month project aims to improve the quality of life for local residents and create accessible spaces for recreation and leisure.
Mayor Eduardo Dolon and leading city experts presented the project details at a press conference. The new park will integrate with residential areas such as Bella Vista, Vista Sal, and Salinas Beach, and will provide environmental and landscape improvements. The park site will be located north of the residential complexes and bordered by the following streets:
• North and East: National Highway N-332
• South and West: Avenida Asociación Víctimas del Terrorismo (Avenue of the Association of Victims of Terrorism)
• South and East: Calle César Mateo Cid
• North and West: Calle Cecilio Gallego Alaminos
The park will feature various themed areas, including playgrounds, sports areas, picnic areas, and dog walking areas. Modern self-cleaning toilets will also be installed, the first in a public park in Torrevieja.
The project includes the planting of more than 23,000 shrubs and approximately 700 trees, creating a rich ecosystem. Selected species include olive trees, holm oaks, and cypresses, as well as aromatic plants such as lavender and rosemary. The creation of this green space represents a strategic investment in the well-being and sustainable development of Torrevieja, strengthening its reputation as a city that cares for the environment and improves the quality of life of its residents.
