Two suspects in a series of jewelry thefts have been arrested in Torrevieja.


On December 1, 2025, the Guardia Civil reported the arrest of two young men (19 and 21 years old) in Torrevieja. They are suspected of committing 13 "snatch" (tirón) thefts on the city's streets in recent months. According to investigators, the perpetrators approached passersby, primarily elderly and vulnerable individuals, and abruptly removed their gold chains and bracelets. Physical evidence was found on the suspects during their arrests, which is currently undergoing analysis.
