Vega Baja to Launch 28 Bus Lines with €10 Million Investment: 3 Corridors, 80 Towns, 400,000 Residents

Vega Baja del Segura (Alicante), February 11, 2026 — The Valencian Government is deploying a new intercity transport network of 28 bus lines backed by €10 million in investment. The system will serve more than 400,000 residents across over 80 urban areas and is structured around three transport corridors (CE-714, CE-704 and CE-710), fully operational before summer.

The plan was presented in Orihuela by President Juanfran Pérez Llorca and Infrastructure Minister Vicente Martínez Mus.


Corridor Structure


CE-714 (already operating)

– New Vega Baja – Alicante-Elche Airport line– Improved Guardamar – Orihuela connections– Sunday and holiday services year-round


CE-704 (9 lines, before summer)

Connects Alicante, Almoradí, Sant Vicent del Raspeig, Santa Pola, Elche, Crevillent, Guardamar del Segura, Torrevieja, Pilar de la Horadada, Orihuela, Rojales, San Fulgencio, Catral, Dolores, Daya Nueva and Daya Vieja.

Includes:

– AVE high-speed rail station stop– Increased Pilar – Alicante frequency– Expanded Torrevieja – Elche routes


CE-710 (14 lines, before summer)

Links Alicante with Albatera, Algorfa, Almoradí, Benijófar, Bigastro, Benejúzar, Callosa de Segura, Catral, Cox, Crevillent, Dolores, Daya Nueva, Daya Vieja, Elche, Formentera del Segura, Granja de Rocamora, Guardamar, Jacarilla, Los Montesinos, Orihuela, Pilar de la Horadada, Rafal, Redován, Rojales, San Isidro, San Miguel de Salinas, San Fulgencio, Sant Vicent del Raspeig and Torrevieja.
