Ориуэла усиливает правила пользования электросамокатами

Orihuela City Hall has tightened regulations on the use of personal mobility devices (PMDs), particularly electric scooters. According to the new municipal ordinance, the following is now mandatory:

- wearing an approved helmet;

- carrying passengers on electric scooters is prohibited;

- electric scooters are limited to a speed limit of 25 km/h;

- using headphones or mobile phones while riding is prohibited.

Fines start at €100. The document was published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Alicante (BOP) and will come into force shortly.
